Toral Rasputra roped in to play Chakor in COLORS’ Udann
COLORS’ social drama Udann is amongst the longest running shows on Indian television with Chakor’s journey having entertained audiences for over 6 years. The show has beautifully showcased Chakor’s life from a confident little girl to fighting her battles to becoming a mother and the various struggles she fought with courage for justice. The show recently took a leap of ten years and now traces the journey of Chakor and Sooraj’s daughter Anjor (Tanya Sharma). With the exit of Meera Deosthale, popular and talented actor Toral Rasputra will be stepping into her shoes and will take the baton forward as Chakor.
Excited about her new stint, Toral Rasputra commented, “Since its inception Udann has struck a chord with the viewers with its strong narrative and I am extremely delighted to be a part of it. Chakor is an iconic character on television and I am happy to take the baton forward. Meera has her own strengths and has built this character so well and it will be a challenge for me to play Chakor. Although a challenging task at hand, I have a strong feeling that the audience would also accept me as Chakor and bestow the same love and support. I am hoping to do justice to the show!”
