A Touching Tribute

We all get goose bumps with a lump in our throats everytime we think of martyrs from our Army. They offer themselves for supreme sacrifice in order to protect us. Words are not enough to thank them. Actor Aniruddh Dave, currently playing the role of Hanuman Singh in the popular show Patiala Babes, agrees. In his own way he paid a very nice tribute to the soldiers who died during the Kargil War. He had recently been featured in a tribute song celebrating the valour and sacrifices of soldiers and officers who took part in the Kargil war. Dedicated to Kargil heroes, the video also features Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Olympic medallist boxer Mary Kom, actors Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Suniel Shetty, and Vicky Kaushal of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ fame. Kargil Vijay Diwas is on 27th July. The song titled ‘Tujhe Bhulega Na Tera Hindustan’ has been penned by well-known Bollywood lyricist Sameer. Speaking about the song and his experience Aniruddh says,”It is a rare opportunity for an actor like me to get something like this and for me it is a matter of pride.” Interestingly he had been brought up in army cantonments mostly. “My parents were teachers in army schools. I have studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya. Our whole family can understand the passion and pathos of an army family. We have witnessed what they go through when their family member who is an army man goes to war. We have seen the emotions of their families how they miss them during festivals. In fact my wife Subhi and I celebrated our first Diwali after wedding with an army family in Jaipur.” Aniruddh also feels having featured in the video with all the other dignitaries is a huge achievement as well.
