बिहार में ‘‘फ्रूट सर्कुलर इकोनॉमी’’ की मजबूत शुरूआत के लिये एक पहल

उन्नति लीची का लक्ष्य है अगले 3 वर्षों में लीची के उत्पादन को 200 प्रतिशत तक बढ़ाना और 80,000 से अधिक किसानों को प्रशिक्षित कर लाभ पहुँचाना

नई दिल्ली, 13 फरवरी, 2020: तमिलनाडु, तेलंगाना, आंध्र प्रदेश, कनार्टक, उत्तराखण्ड, हिमाचल प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र और मध्यप्रदेश में उन्नति मध्यस्थताओं की सफलता के बाद कोका-कोला इंडिया ने आज देहातनेशनल रिसर्च सेंटर ऑन लीची (एनआरसीएल) और केडिया फ्रेश के साथ मिलकर बिहार में उन्नति लीची को लॉन्च किया है। यह पहल उच्च घनत्व वाले पौधारोपण, कृषि की अच्छी पद्धतियों (जीएपी) के लिये किसानों के प्रशिक्षण और उपयुक्त प्रौद्योगिकी मध्यस्थताओं के माध्यम से नमूने के बागों के निर्माण के आधार पर कृषि महत्व श्रृंखला की क्षमता बढ़ाने और किसानों की क्षमता निर्माण पर लक्षित है।

इस पहल का शुरूआती चरण बिहार के मुजफ्फरपुरसमस्तीपुर और वैशाली जिलों में लॉन्च किया गया, जो राज्‍य में लीची की खेती के बड़े केन्द्र हैं। उगाने से लेकर पैकेजिंग तक संपूर्ण महत्व श्रृंखला को संजोने वाले उन्नति लीची का लक्ष्य 80,000 से अधिक किसानों को मौजूदा बागों के पुनर्जीवन, लगभग 3000 एकड़ के पुराने और जीर्ण खेतों को तरोताजा करने और लीची का उत्पादन दोगुना करने के लिये उच्च घनत्व वाले पौधारोपण जैसी आधुनिक तकनीकों की पेशकश पर शिक्षित और प्रशिक्षित करना है।

कोका-कोला इंडिया अपने अनूठे गुणों के लिये प्रसिद्ध लीची की किस्मों – शाही और चीना का उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिये परियोजना क्रियान्वयन भागीदार देहात (ग्रीन एग्रीवोल्यूशन प्रा. लि.) के साथ निकटता से काम करेगा। केडिया फ्रेश मुजफ्फरपुर में नमूने का अत्याधुनिक बाग बनाने में अपनी विशेषज्ञता का प्रयोग करेगा और प्रमुख प्रौद्योगिकी भागीदार नेशनल रिसर्च सेंटर फॉर लीचीमुजफ्फरपुर (एनआरसीएल) लीची की खेती के लिये संपूर्ण मानक परिचालन विधियों (एसओपी) को विकसित करेगा और परियोजना की समय अवधि के दौरान उनका क्रियान्वयन सुनिश्चित करेगा।

इश्तियाक अमजद – वाइस प्रेसिडेन्टपब्लिक अफेयर्सकम्युनिकेशंस एंड सस्टैनेबिलिटीकोका-कोला इंडिया एंड साउथ वेस्ट एशिया ने कहा, ‘‘हम देश के विभिन्न फलों के लिये अच्छी कृषि पद्धतियों (जीएपी) को बढ़ावा देने के लिये प्रतिबद्ध हैं। लीची की खेती बिहार में सबसे अधिक होती है और इस कारण इस राज्य की बड़ी आबादी को रोजगार मिलता है। हम अपने फल-आधारित पेयों के माध्यम से स्थानीय आधार पर उगने वाले फलों की मांग निर्मित करना, देश की कृषि-पारिस्थितिकी में निवेश करना और उन्नति परियोजनाओं के माध्यम से सीधे किसानों के साथ काम करना जारी रखेंगे, हम किसानों की आय बढ़ाने और उनके रहन-सहन का स्तर ऊँचा उठाने के लिये उनकी मदद करते रहेंगे।’’

कोका-कोला इंडिया में फ्रूट सर्कुलर इकोनॉमी के वाइस प्रेसिडेन्ट असीम पारेख ने कहा, ‘‘भारत दुनिया में लीची का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक है। भारत में लीची की खेती में 50 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी बिहार और पश्चिम बंगाल की है। बिहार लीची का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक है। लीची की खेती की पारंपरिक पद्धति के अलावा आधुनिक प्रौद्योगिकी और जीएपी को अपनाने से बिहार में लीची का उत्पादन दोगुना हो सकता है। बिहार में उन्नति लीची उस दिशा में एक विनम्रलेकिन महत्वपूर्ण प्रयास है।’’

उन्नति लीची के माध्यम से उत्पादनशीलता की बढ़त इस फल की स्थानीय मुख्तारी को गति दे सकती है, जिससे इस राज्य में हॉर्टिकल्चर की पारिस्थितिकी को बल मिलेगा। यह परियोजना किसानों को जरूरी अवसंरचना तक पहुँच भी देगी, जैसे उच्च उपज वाला प्लांटिंग मटेरियल और आधुनिक पैकेज ऑफ प्रैक्टिसेस (पीओपी), जिससे लीची की खेती आकर्षक हो जाएगी।

कोका-कोला इंडिया और उसके भागीदार भारत की फ्रूट सर्कुलर इकोनॉमी के विकास के लिये 1.7 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर का निवेश कर मजबूत महत्व श्रृंखलाओं के निर्माण के मार्ग पर बढ़ रहे हैं। बिहार में प्रोजेक्ट उन्नति लीची की शुरूआत के बाद यह पहल पश्चिम बंगाल और ओडिशा जैसे राज्यों में भी होगी।

नेशनल रिसर्च सेंटर फॉर लीची (एनआरसीएल) के विषय में

एनआरसीएल लीची पर शोध एवं विकास के लिये अग्रणी राष्ट्रीय संस्थान है और राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अगुवाई करता है। यह लीची के उत्पादन, प्रसंस्करण, मूल्यवर्द्धन पर सूचना के राष्ट्रीय संग्राहक का काम भी करता है और अंतिम यूजर्स को परामर्श सेवाएं प्रदान करता है। आईसीएआर-नेशनल रिसर्च सेंटर ऑन लीची की संस्थापना 6 जून, 2001 को भारत सरकार के कृषि मंत्रालय ने इंडियन काउंसिल ऑफ एग्रीकल्चरल रिसर्च के तत्वाधान में की थी, ताकि यह भारत में मिशन वाले दृष्टिकोण के आधार पर लीची के शोध एवं विकास के शीर्ष संस्थान के तौर पर काम करे। इस सेंटर ने वर्ष 2002 से बजट आवंटन के साथ काम शुरू किया और मार्च, 2002 में दो वैज्ञानिकों का पहला बैच इस सेंटर से जुड़ा। 25 जून, 2002 को आईसीएआर और बिहार सरकार के बीच लीज का अनुबंध हस्ताक्षरित हुआ, ताकि मुशाहरी में इस सेंटर को 100 एकड़ भूमि मिले। वर्ष 2005 के दौरान और उसके बाद वैज्ञानिक, तकनीकी और सहयोगी कर्मचारियों तथा अवसंरचनात्मक सुविधाओं के विकास हेतु प्रशासनिक सहयोग और शोध कार्यों के लिये वित्तीय सहायता के साथ यह सेंटर मजबूत होता गया।

वर्तमान में इस सेंटर के पास 14 वैज्ञानिक, 3 तकनीकी, 8 प्रशासनिक और 3 सहयोगी कर्मचारी हैं, जबकि अनुमोदित वैज्ञानिक, तकनीकी, प्रशासनिक और सहयोगी कर्मचारियों की संख्या क्रमशः 15, 14, 12 और 10 है। अनुमोदित वैज्ञानिक पद हॉर्टिकल्चर, पौध प्रजनन, अनुवांशिकी, मृदा विज्ञान, जैव-प्रौद्योगिकी, शरीर विज्ञान, पैथोलॉजी, कीट विज्ञान, अर्थशास्त्र, एक्सटेंशन एवं कंप्यूटर अनुप्रयोगों जैसे विभिन्न विषयों का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है।

Today, Ola is also pleased to announce three partnerships with established leaders in their respective fields to raise driver standards across the market. Ola has teamed up with DriveTech (Part of the AA), consulting giant Mercer and Pearson in groundbreaking initiatives to ensure that Ola riders in London will benefit from the highest standard of driving skills, and driver customer service and communication.

Ola will partner with DriveTech (part of the AA) to use its driving risk assessment to improve the level of driving skills and knowledge of all drivers on the Ola platform in London. Each driver has completed a risk assessment and is given complimentary E-Learning modules to further accelerate their professional development. On completing these modules, they will receive a DriveTech Permit to Drive, attesting to their skills.

Additionally, every Ola driver in London has passed the Versant spoken English test, from education experts Pearson plc, ensuring a high level of communication in English.

They have also successfully completed Ola’s Customer Service Test, developed with global selection experts Mercer, ensuring they have the skills and mindset to deliver a great experience to their passengers.

London drivers joining the platform will benefit from six weeks of zero commission and market-leading commission rates thereafter, enabling them to keep more of their earnings. Ola’s commission commitment ensures drivers always receive the best commission rate in each market that the company operates in.

Ola will continue its collaborative approach with Transport for London(TfL) and local authorities, as well as its clear focus on safety, drawing on industry-leading and global best practices.

Ola is raising the standards of safety in the UK ride-hailing industry and bringing global best practices to the market. In a number of pioneering moves for the UK, Ola is launching its flagship global safety feature, ‘Guardian’, which uses AI and machine learning to automatically detect irregular vehicle activity, a ‘Start Code’ feature to ensure customers and drivers are correctly matched, 24/7 voice support for riders and drivers, and a cap of six penalty points for drivers on its platform.
