Eight-time national champion Bhavani Devi, who made history by becoming the first Indian fencer to qualify for the Tokyo Games, registered her first win at the marquee event early on Monday. She eventually lost to fourth-seeded Manon Brunet 7-15 in the Table of 32 match.
