“Salman and I have been sharing ideas but there is no film on cards” – Farhan Akhtar

Amidst the ongoing rumours regarding his recent meet up with the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar clarified at a recent event organized by Sony Pictures Sports Network, that it was just a casual meeting with Salman, exchanging ideas and thoughts, and insisted that his fans should not read much into it.

Farhan Akhtar mentioned that Salman is an extended family friend, and it was just a chat with no immediate plans for the future to work together. As per latest reports, Farhan is working on ‘Toofan’ with direction from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Toofan will be a Sports biographical film based on the life of a boxer, this will be his second attempt at highlighting the journey of a sportsmen after his success of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Farhan is currently gearing up for his travel to Spain where he will be attending the UEFA champions league as a special guest while also ticking off this experience from his wish-list

Farhan Akhtar talks about his next directorial film!

After making his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai, Farhan Akhtar continued to bring more successful films to life, in the last two decades. However, speaking at the Sony Sports event of UEFA Champions League, the actor revealed that he has no plans to continue directing any movies as of now.

After visualizing and bringing movies like Don, Lakshya, Positive and more to the big screen, Farhan mentioned how this is a comma and not a full stop in his directing career. The multi-talented actor also said that there will definitely be more movies with him behind the camera, in the future, but now is not the time.

Until then, Farhan is excited about his break next month, where for the love of football, Farhan will be traveling to Spain as the official guest from India to watch the UEFA Champions League Final at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain on June 1, 2019.
